In two notable employment discrimination cases Jeremiah Denton successfully obtained training and promotion for handicapped civil servants whose jobs were threatened by biased supervisors. One client was blind, and the Navy was ordered to provide her with special equipment so she could perform effectively as a receptionist secretary. The other had cerebral palsy, which caused her hands to tremble when handling test tubes. Jeremiah Denton won her the right to laboratory training that permitted her to advance her lab technician career in a Navy laboratory, and the Navy had to pay her legal fees.
