Mary had been making automobile insurance premium payments for over 40 years without ever submitting a claim when two men in a pickup truck sped past her and snatched her purse, launching Mary through the air and onto the parking lot asphalt, breaking several bones.  The drive-by purse snatchers escaped.  Jeremiah Denton, in novel legal maneuver, sued the purse snatchers in absentia,  under Mary's uninsured motorist coverage.  Challenging coverage, the insurance company resisted fiercely, even counter-suing Mary in a separate federal case, but Jeremiah Denton persevered through four courts and four years of litigation, defeating one bogus defense after another, ultimately forcing the giant insurance company to pay even more than policy limits.  Mr. Denton has successfully prosecuted three such cases.
