Mr. Denton served voluntarily as a helicopter gunship pilot in the Vietnam War while his own father was a prisoner of war there. Licensed pilot since 1969. He is the father of five sons and enjoys raising homing pigeons, flying airplanes, playing guitar, and reading history.

David A. Buzard

Attorney David A. Buzard has been practicing law for 18 years. Before commencing private practice, David served on active duty as a Navy JAG officer. He is certified by the Virginia Supreme Court as a qualified guardian ad litem for incapacitated persons.

In 2002, David taught a course on judicial process and behavior as an adjunct faculty member at Old Dominion University. From 2006 to 2008, David was a staff judge advocate for the U.S. Navy, Maritime Expeditionary Security Group Two. He was also a lay judge on the Ecclesiastical Court of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia from 2005 to 2008.
David is fluent in French, an officer of the U.S. Navy Reserve, and an arts enthusiast. His children are both alumni of Norfolk Public Schools. In 2001, he received the fifth annual Judge Walter E. Hoffman Community Service Award.
